Beautiful antique appliqué quilt dating to approximately the 1930s–1940s. This is a true piece of American textile history, approximately 80–90 years old.
Classic floral wreath design in soft pastel colors — blue, pink, green, lavender, and yellow on a white ground.
Made entirely of cotton with cotton batting, this is a very lightweight quilt with a soft hand and feel.
It has that time-worn character that works perfectly in cottage, farmhouse, and primitive interiors.
A lightweight, time-worn primitive quilt with great color — perfect for decorating, display, or creative reuse.
This is a decorative, as-found piece — ideal to:
- fold at the end of a bed
- drape over a chair or rail
- use as a soft accent in a room
It could also be a great candidate for an upcycle or restoration project.
Easy, relaxed, and visually appealing.
MEASUREMENTS - Approximately 59" x 94"
CONDITION
- Shows considerable age and use and is priced accordingly
- Noticeable thinning and wear to the white ground
- Edge wear and fraying
- A few small holes / areas of fabric loss
- Visible spots along the left and right edges (see photos), which may respond to soaking if desired. Cleaning has been left to the new owner
- Fold line wear through the central wreath area
- There is some thinning to the batting in areas that have less quilting
Still intact and displays well as a decorative piece.
