Circa 1930s hand appliqué rose quilt with scalloped green binding — an absolutely gorgeous example of Depression-era floral design.
Measures approximately 75” x 86”.
This beautifully composed quilt features layered pink and cherry red roses accented by soft blue blooms and graceful green stems, all set against a softly aged white cotton ground. The scale and symmetry give it wonderful presence while retaining refined elegance.
The appliqué work is exceptional, with carefully shaped petals and fluid movement throughout the design. Hand quilted in an even grid pattern across the entire surface.
